NIS Jakarta joins the Nord Anglia Education global family of schools
Arrangements for NIS to join the Nord Anglia Education family of international schools are now complete, providing a new and exciting future for our wonderful school community.
NIS Jakarta is Nord Anglia's first school in Indonesia and we are clearly a great fit with the 44 other NAE schools across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, China and the Middle East, with which we share a strong commitment to putting students at the heart of everything we do and delivering an outstanding education which results in academic, social and personal success for every student. Working together with our new sister schools, we can achieve more than we can individually.
Nord Anglia Education is the world's leading schools group, with 45 school in 16 countries, together educating more than 38,400 children from kindergarten to the end of secondary school (high school). NAE schools benefit from unique collaborations with The Juilliard School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and UNICEF.
Regional Managing Director of Nord Anglia, Shaun Williams, commented: "I look forward to working with the staff at NIS and you the parents to build upon the school's progress since it was founded in 1967. This is a new chapter in the NIS story, one which will see the whole school community benefit from NAE's global resources, expertise and unique opportunities for students and staff."
"I will shortly be able to announce the arrangements I have made for a new Principal to join the school. In the meantime, I can report that we are already surveying the campus to determine how we can most effectively use the USD 500,000 that we have committed to spend on facilities and resources over the summer, and the larger sum that we will invest over the 2017/18 academic year."
